The 2021 Joint College partnership enabled University of Huddersfield degrees in Computing and Engineering to be delivered at Fujian Normal University. The arrangements also supports student exchange opportunities between the two universities. The successful partnership is currently supporting over 730 students, likely to rise to a thousand in the future. Joint College courses will continue to grow for the next two years, while the partnership also supports staff development and research collaboration between the two universities.

Professor Rupert Ward, Associate Dean (International) in the School of Computing and Engineering explains, “Fujian Normal University is a top 200 institution in China and top 10 amongst normal universities (universities that incorporate teacher training institutions). The Joint College offers BEng Electronic and Communications Engineering, BEng Electronic Engineering and Computer Systems and BSc Computer Science degree courses. We hope to increase our research collaborations and course offerings in the coming years given the significant benefits resulting from the Joint College for both students and staff.”
